Ayala Manolson, chairman of the board of MCI, was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Leadership last Friday from McGill University. Amongst all the distinguished graduates of McGill, Ayala is the very first recipient of this award. Ayala has revolutionized the world of speech pathology by involving parents and caregivers in early communication programs for language-delayed children.
In response to a universal unmet need, Ayala founded the Hanen centre in 1977 through which, she created and wrote "It Takes Two To Talk" and "You Make the Difference in Helping Your Child Learn" - two global parenting programs.
In 2002, Ayala Founded First Three Years to develop programs and resources which strengthen the early parent-child relationship, a previously unmet need in our community.
